Elementary Homeschool Community and Classes
Starting in the 23-24 school year, Avondale Bible Church is adding a weekly elementary, multi-age enrichment class designed for homeschooled students in 1st-5th grades. Our mission is to support families providing home-based education by offering a hands-on, active learning experience where students can have fun while exploring big ideas and learning to work in community.
Our enrichment classes are planned and led by an experienced elementary teacher who is homeschooling her own 2 children. We offer a tiered tuition structure in which parents may volunteer as a co-op model or may elect to drop off their children.
Each week, classes will include experiential learning in science and social studies. Arts/crafts will be woven into these subjects, and there will be integrated activities such as active movement, music, and/or drama. Approximately once each month, we will coordinate field trips related to our units of study.
Schedule
When we launch in Fall 2023, classes will be held on Fridays from 9:30-2:00.
Our goal is to be responsive to the needs that families express, and the program may expand in the future.
Cost
$700 annual tuition (co-op model, 6-8 parent volunteer hours each month)
$100 Registration (one child) OR $150 Registration (multiple children)
$50 annual supply fee
$1200 annual tuition (drop off, no required volunteer hours)
